Vivian turns 1!

Here we go again... A year ago we brought Vivian Grace home from the hospital, and we couldn't be more blessed.

Vivian's first birthday party was very low key. Just a a few presents, a little company, and cake. Vivian was a little too distracted by her hair bow, so she had to take care of that first.

In true one-year-old fashion, Vivian wasn't quite sure what was going on and what she was being offered. Our little chunker was willing to give it her best shot, though.

And then the realization that this entire cake was for her! Pure joy.

Vivian got a mini-owl, and here's the cake that the rest of us shared. Claire was pretty disappointed when she figured out that Vivian's cake was bigger than her cupcake, but she coped with it pretty well.

Vivian got a cell phone, some books, and some stacking bowls that day. Other gifts have been coming in from lots of family and friends, and she is enjoying them all!

Vivian - you are truly a bundle of joy - so happy all the time. We love seeing you grow and make new discoveries every day. Your smile is infectious, and your sister adores you, and we are all amazed at how you grow and grow and grow! Happy birthday, baby girl. We love you!

P.S. notice that we have a big case of second child syndrome? Claire's birthday post was on her birthday, and Vivian's post was...not. :)
